Open Science Rocks

ITMO Open Science is back with a brand new format! The university’s science day will combine a science festival and a rock concert into one. 

Science rocks and scientists are the new rock stars. On April 7, our brightest minds will come together to talk about the university’s greatest advances and interdisciplinary studies over the past two years, as well as give their expert takes on the biggest problems faced by today’s science. 

The festival will include five sections: 

• Heavy Metal – science slams about scientific news and research at ITMO;

• Guitar Solo – brief presentations of the major studies by the university’s scientific departments and the best student projects from the Congress of Young Scientists;

• Industrial Battle – joint reports by partner companies on how to build  successful collaborations; 

• Garage Band – digital presentations of the university’s most significant findings;

• Open Jam – a Q&A on all things science.
