Cooperation of the NRU ITMO with the Ministry of Education and Science and universities of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of education, research, innovation and culture

From 9 to 13 of December 2013 the NRU ITMO delegation had made a business visit to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan (Dushanbe), Representation of the Federal Agency for the commonwealth of independent countries, compatriots living abroad and by the international humanitarian cooperation, Center of international programs under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and several universities of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the meetings there were talks with representatives of the Technological University of Tajikistan (Dushanbe), the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi (Dushanbe), the Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (Dushanbe), the Tajik Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service (Dushanbe), the Tajik Agrarian University (Dushanbe).

The purposes of the visit were development of international relations between NRU ITMO and educational institutions of Tajikistan in the field of education, research, innovation and culture, continued cooperation within the SCO University and promotion of the Russian language in Tajikistan.

During the negotiations, a Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the NRU ITMO and some collaboration agreements between the University of the Republic and the NRU ITMO were signed.

Results of the negotiations will be used for expansion of cooperation of the NRU ITMO with the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of training, both within SCO, and an agreement with the Center for international programs at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Also, during the joint discussions, several agreements for admission of bachelors and masters for training in a wide range of areas in 2014 at NRU ITMO.

The negotiations were attended by: Y.L. Kolesnikov, the vice-rector for educational, organizational and administrative work, A.V. Baranenko, the director of the Institute of Refrigeration and Biotechnology, T.V. Tochilina, the head of magistracy, E.V. Orlova, the head of the department for work with foreign students (IR&B), R.A. Yuryeva, the engineer of department for work with foreign students (NRU ITMO).
