July 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the ITMO University a lecture by Professor Naeem Zafar from the School of Business of the University of California, Berkeley (USA) will be held. At the lecture, Professor Zafar will talk about technology of launch and success of startup projects and share experience with beginners and experienced entrepreneurs. The event will be held in the framework of the SumIT program. 

Program SumIT is the educational and mentoring startup school, based on the best international practices of technological entrepreneurship. Under the leadership of successful and experienced mentors program participants pass practical business course, create their own startup projects and develop them. School SumIT is organized by the Business Incubator of the ITMO University, with support of the "RVC", the U.S. Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law (USRF), the EURECA program ("Enhancing University Research and Entrepreneurial Capacity”) and the competition-accelerator GenerationS.

During the event, the students of the ITMO University and startup school SumIT will learn about the following items to create your own business project:

  • seven steps to successful startup;
  • market research on a limited budget;
  • creating an effective buyout resume for the company.

Everyone interested in the creation and development of startup projects is invited for participation. Pre-registration is required for participation. Number of seats is limited.

Naeem Zafar lecture will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. at the Technopark of the ITMO University, 14 Birzhevaya line, St. Petersburg.
