The Moscow International Education Fair (MIEF) gathered guests for the second time. In 2015, the organizers expect more than 60 000 participants.
"The Fair is not only important because it gathers the representatives of different industries and the process participants who one way or another affect the development of the education system. Here, in fact, new ideas are born. At the last Fair the possibility of new education system in the field of medicine was discussed, which would meet certain requirements, and today we have it already presented," Olga Golodets says, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
At the MIEF, within the business program, conferences and seminars began for teachers, heads of educational institutions and business people.

The Incubators: From Universities to School and Back round table continued the topic of innovations in the field of education. Participants agreed that entrepreneurship education in schools is necessary primarily in order to develop children's leadership skills, ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility for them. Nina Yanykina, the head of the ITMO University Design and Innovation Activity Department, stresses that the participation in business incubators and acquaintance with successful entrepreneurs are needed not only for the development of entrepreneurial skills, but also for the formation of a favorable attitude towards business in general.
"The current youth generation, the digital environment generation, already has a positive attitude towards the phenomenon of entrepreneurship. But the older generation has rather negative attitude, and now there is still a need to change it. Therefore, we need preincubators, preacceleration programs, activities aimed at the increasing the awareness of young people about the fact that they can not only be employed, but also be engaged in their own business," Yanykina says.
In addition to lectures and seminars on the preparation of school programs and motivation of gifted pupils, the experts also raised the issues of doing the high-tech business and interaction between science and industry. In the debate about the universities' HR effectiveness, the experts in the field of technology transfer came to the conclusion that it is impossible to train the staff so that they will be fully consistent with the requirements of the host organization. To have an opportunity to speak on behalf of the university, the technology broker should have a serious work experience at the university. Even in cases when the universities hire professionals from abroad as technology transfer managers the result is most often negative due to the need for full immersion in the Russian specifics.
"In comparison with the October event the major progress is well seen. Russian universities are more widely presented now, among the participants there are more government officials and foreign organizations. According to the level of discussions and experts it can be predicted that the Fair has a good chances to become an event of the same scale as the Open Innovations forum, but in the field of education," Nina Yanykina says.
