Metamaterials are the fake structures with unique electromagnetic properties which don`t occur in nature. The Metamaterials Laboratory is one of the key Russian research centers in the field of theoretical and applied study on metamaterials.
One of the recent achievements of the lab is a scientific discovery in the field of exotic physics. The new technology makes a glass cylinder invisible in the microwave region without using any masking material. The researchers also presented a technology, which expedites MRI scanning and makes the image more precise.
