Mr. Schekoldin supposes that 3D printers are far from being accessible to all.
“There are two reasons for that. The first one is time. It takes about 10-30 hours to print some things. It is wasting of time when one has to make several typical details. In this case a casting technology is more convenient than 3D printing. The second problem is that 3D printers are necessary only for unique details and prototypes while other things can be bought. It is very hard to predict what will be in future. However I suppose that 3D printers will be popular,” noted the head of the innovative laboratory.
