ITMO University Sports Club Team “Kronbars“ Won Three Bronze Medals at “Moscow Games 2015”

Student sports clubs from 16 countries participated in a four-day competition at “Moscow Games 2015” that took place in Olympic complex "Luzhniki" from 1 to 4 of September. “Kronbars“ placed 3rd at football, cheerleading and table tennis tournaments.

“Moscow Games 2015” fused together about 2 000 students from Russia, Macedonia, Romania, Croatia, Lebanon, Senegal, North Cyprus, Algeria, Kyrgyzstan and other countries. The program included following sports: football, volleyball, basketball, rugby, beach soccer, beach volleyball, table tennis, swimming, and cheerleading.

Apart from table tennis, football and cheerleading ITMO University team took part in two tournaments such as basketball and beach volleyball.

“Last year we engaged only in two contests. This year we decided to multiply chances of success and took part in five tournaments. All teams were very strong. So it was hard enough to compete with other students. It is very prestigious to win medals at “Moscow Games” because it is one of the most popular international student contests,” noted Evgenii Raskin, head of ITMO University Sports Club Team “Kronbars“.

Participating in “Moscow Games 2014” ITMO University sports team was awarded with gold medal at football tournament.
