The main speaker of practical seminar was Veronika Kupriyanova, research, innovation and international higher education policy expert, who previously dealt with EU-Russian scientific projects connected with nanotechnologies, energy production, aeronautics, and information and communication technologies.
ITMO University researchers, heads and experts of international research centers took part in the seminar. During the meeting participants acquired main principles, structure, and participation conditions of “HORIZON-2020.” The speaker also presented main calls for proposals 2016-2017 connected with following fields: nanotechnologies, transport, environment and climate change, medicine, space and others. Russian experts learned how to take part in “HORIZON-2020” challenges, how to prepare for its research programs, how to submit an application, and how to attract partners. One of the most discussible topics was financial aspect. Participants interested what kinds of support programs are offered by “HORIZON-2020”.
Mrs. Kupriyanova underlined steps and methods of how to exploit “Horizon-2020” program. According to organizers of the seminar, thanks to these tips it will be easier for Russian researchers to take part in international research programs and “Horizon-2020” particularly.
