Competition to support fundamental and exploratory research of individual scientific groups

The Russian Science Foundation starts accepting applications for the competition to support fundamental and exploratory research of individual scientific groups (RSF 55).

Grant awards will range from four to six million rubles annually. 

The scientific project timeline is three years (2021-2023) with the possibility to be extended for up to two years.

Applications are accepted until 5 pm (GMT+3) on November 10, 2020.

The results of the competition will be announced in March 2021.

To participate in the competition, you have to apply via ISU: Центр приложений (Application Center) -> СППД/Руководитель проекта (Head of Project) -> Заявка (Application) -> Подать заявку (File an application). Heads of projects have to email preliminary versions of their applications (in *.pdf format) for verification to the head of the Office of Information Support of Open Tenders for State and Municipal Needs no later than November 3, 2020.

Please note that since December 16, 2019, due to the transition to electronic workflow between ITMO University and the Russian Science Foundation, the procedure for preparing and submitting applications for competitions for grants from the Russian Science Foundation has changed. The documents specified in the regulations must be submitted to the Office of Information Support of Open Tenders for State and Municipal Needs during office hours no later than 5 pm on November 9, 2020.
