USE points calculators
These are services with a database of:
- Bachelor’s programs of the majority of Russian universities;
- list of Unified State Exams needed for each program;
- entrance points.
Some platforms also have the data on the current number of applicants to a given program.
To use such services, students can just put in their USE exam scores and any points for personal achievements they may have. The service will process this info and put out a list of programs at different universities in which this amount of points is enough to secure a tuition-free or fee-based position. Apart from general calculators, there are also those offered by specific universities that allow applicants to evaluate their chances specifically at their university.
Reasons to use a calculator
- To select the programs where students have the most chances of enrollment – maybe even find programs that students weren’t aware of.
- To evaluate the chances to enroll into a tuition-free position.
- To decide where to send your enrollment confirmation to.
Learn more about Bachelor’s admissions to ITMO, both tuition-free and fee-based, on the university’s admissions website.
Importantly, a calculator doesn’t offer any guarantees: as it’s based on last year’s entrance points and this year, things can be drastically different. In any case, applicants will have to consider many factors during the application process, and such services are just a handy tool that might help you get a better idea of your options.

USE points calculator by ITMO
The ITMO version of the service (in Russian) has only verified information on the university’s programs that’s relevant for the current admissions campaign. With the calculator, applicants can:
- calculate their total score for exams and personal achievements at ITMO;
- select the suitable programs at the university;
- see if they made it over last year’s enrollment score for a specific program;
- read about the program and peruse its curriculum;
- learn the list of each program’s industrial partners;
- evaluate their chances to enroll in a tuition-free position at ITMO this year.
In 2025, ITMO offers 26 Bachelor’s programs, the majority of which are implemented with the company’s leading tech companies. Learn more about each program here and apply on the admissions website. Additional information for international applicants can be found here.
For instance, the program AI360: ML NATIVE, developed with Yandex and Sberbank, trains specialists in development of new fundamental ML models and algorithms. Aspiring AI experts can opt for AI Engineering, a program implemented in collaboration with VK. In 2025, ITMO also received over 160 million rubles from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media for the development of educational programs in IT. With this support, the university will implement new tracks within the program Software Engineering.
With any questions about each program, students can reach out to program managers whose contacts are indicated in each program’s description, as well as contact the admission’s office.
