PROSTO

Tailored to youth aged 14 to 35, PROSTO is a state-sponsored network of free coworking spaces. Currently, the project includes four branches around the city, with the most unusual one situated at the Kirov Palace of Culture. Besides work and study areas, it’s jam-packed with facilities for visual content creators: there are two photo studios with natural light and cycloramas, as well as themed locations where you can shoot short videos.

Vladimir Mayakovsky Central City Public Library

Three years of renovation didn’t come to naught, and the building on Fontanka Embankment 44 has turned from a cliched dusty library into a modern movie-worthy spot for education and recreation. Whether you’re here to read one of 300 thousand books in store or finally get down to writing your term paper, there’s always a corner to land even at the busiest hours. One more advantage of the next-gen library – there’s no more need to stay 100% silent! Of course, all of the library’s services are complimentary.

Community Center

We usually mention New Holland Island when it comes to leisure, but recently it has also set up a comfortable venue for productive pursuits. A 150-ruble ticket to the new Community Center ensures all-day access to a quiet workstation, a wide range of literature, and a lounge zone with table tennis and board games. The luckiest are the residents of the Admiralteyskiy District, who can enjoy a free concession season pass for three months.

Angar Public Workshop

A coworking area by name, this place significantly stands out from other options: instead of people glued to their laptops, it brings together handicraft enthusiasts. Here, you can learn about carpentry, sewing, and ceramics during short-term courses or make use of the workshop’s equipment for your project. All activities are free of charge and are available for everyone aged 18 to 35.
