Hosted by the Museum of 20th-21st Century Art of St Petersburg, Two Generations of Art Collectors is the first large-scale exhibition to highlight the collection of Russian art patrons Nikolai and Georgy Botka. There are 1,200 works of all genres on display, including paintings, graphics, and sculptures, with a focus on artwork created between the 1960s and 1990s.

The exhibition, which includes over 500 pieces from Russia's best museums and archives, depicts the biography of empress Maria Alexandrovna, who is primarily remembered for championing reforms in medicine and female education. Among the highlights are numerous personal belongings, as well as letters, photographs, and other equally unique artifacts that provide an insight into the life of the empress.
