The Circus You Remember

The exhibition looks back on the last century of circus in Russia – from classic portraits of circus artists in the early 20th century to contemporary reports. On view are over 200 images taken by distinguished photographers shooting the circus across various periods of its history.

The Stranger (2025)

Based on Albert Camus' seminal existentialist novel, the film adaptation by François Ozon portrays a quiet young Frenchman as he experiences life events – triggered by the death of his mother – in cold blood. The movie is screened in the original language with Russian subtitles.

Sticking with the French vibe, there’ll also be an evening of French music at St. Petersburg Philharmonia's Small Hall that will feature the timeless masterpieces for the violin composed by the greats of French classical music.

Curling Day

Enjoy the charm of winter sports with a fun-filled curling workshop at Yelagin Island. There, you will go over the game’s basic rules and terms, learn how to use the brush and make good sweeping, and, of course, have some fun playing.

Explore the art of bookmaking with the publisher Vita Nova Club’s exhibition at the Hermitage Museum. The display offers a step-by-step walkthrough of the process that spans over book covers, printing techniques and illustrations, and limited and handmade editions.
