Choose the best open day for your purposes
ITMO hosts different kinds of open days depending on the format and demands of a particular audience. Here is a list of all of them:
-
General open day
These are events for all Bachelor’s applicants. Here, they can ask any admissions-related questions to the Admission Office secretary and heads of educational programs, as well as learn about the educational process and student life at the university from current students or graduates.
-
Open days of ITMO schools
At these events, applicants get to learn about specific fields and programs, discover career prospects for ITMO students, as well as communicate directly with heads of programs or current Bachelor’s and Master’s students at the university.
-
Open days for contest winners
Here, talented school students can learn how to benefit from their wins at contests and get into tuition-free positions at ITMO without exams. At these events, applicants can also discover the stipends available to contest winners at ITMO. Moreover, students studying in person (including in fee-based positions) in educational programs corresponding to the priority fields of the scientific and technological development of Russia (information security, AI, and others) are eligible for the Presidential stipend, which amounts to 30,000 rubles a month. To apply, it’s important to have no academic backlog and at least 75% of “excellent” grades.
-
Open days for applicants to fee-based positions
At these events, applicants learn all about the conditions and options for paying for education, as well as ways to make the payments more manageable – with loans or a transfer to a tuition-free position in the future.
