  • RAEX National Ranking: ITMO in Top 15 Russian Universities

    The ranking agency RAEX has published its tenth annual ranking of Russian universities. For the fourth year in a row, ITMO is included in the top 15 of the ranking, this year being 14th on the list.

  • Expert Center Ranking: ITMO University First in Russia in Engineering Sciences

    According to the ranking of the Expert analytic center, ITMO’s performance in 2020 placed it in the top 5 Russian universities, also making it the number one in engineering sciences. ITMO was also named the best in four other subjects. All in all, the university was represented by 13 disciplines out of the 16 currently offered at ITMO.

  • ITMO University In Top 40 of Latest QS EECA Ranking

    This time, ITMO was ranked 36th – 10 positions higher than last year. Since the ranking’s introduction in 2014, ITMO has managed to get up by 64 positions.

  • ITMO Experts Rank Regional E-Participation Platforms

    Moscow, the Murmansk Oblast, and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug are at the top of the ranking with the Tyva Republic, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug bringing up the rear. According to the authors of the ranking, it reflects the readiness with which regional governments discuss current issues with their citizens using digital technologies.

    On August 27, the new Three University Missions Moscow International University Ranking (MosIUR) was released. Despite the increased competition, ITMO University improved its results by taking 219th place worldwide and seventh place in Russia.

  • ITMO University Graduates Become Forbes 30 Under 30 Nominees

    Forbes Russia has released its second annual 30 Under 30 ranking. According to the authors, to get a mention in the list, by the age of 30 you need to have earned professional acclaim nationally or even globally. This year, two ITMO University graduates are among the nominees – Greg Tkachenko, co-founder of the startup AI Factory and manager at Snap, and Daniel Galper, founder and CEO of Grow Food.

  • RAEX Ranking 2020: ITMO University Rated Russia’s First in Computer Science

    The RAEX rating agency has published its latest annual subject rankings of scientific productivity and invention (patent) activity among Russian universities. ITMO University is included in the top 10 of both rankings. The University also came first out of all Russian universities in the subject ranking for computer science and in a narrower field of hardware architecture.

    The latest Times Higher Education subject ranking of world universities in the field of Physical Sciences has just been published. ITMO University made its debut in the ranking two years ago and has been improving its position. In this year’s ranking, which includes over 1,000 universities, ITMO is placed 251-300.

  • Quality of Admission to Universities Ranking 2019

    This year’s admissions at universities have long been completed and yesterday’s schoolchildren have already officially become students and are getting used to their new status. Meanwhile, on October 30, 2019, the results of the annual “Quality of Admission to Universities 2019” ranking were published by the Higher School of Economics and Yandex with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. The ranking is aimed at assessing the quality of the admission campaigns for full-time Bachelor’s and specialty programs at Russian universities.
