The mission of IP RUSSIA AWARDS (IPRA) is to identify leading experts and organizations that have excelled in the field. ITMO University consistently demonstrates outstanding results in training future IP professionals, as well as in conducting research and business projects related to patent studies. In 2024, the university updated its cooperation program with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In May, the parties agreed to expand the scope of joint educational programs and promote innovations developed by ITMO and its partner universities to the global scene.

In 2025, the enrollment process for the Master’s program IP Management Strategy, which combines theoretical and applied training in the field of IP, will take place in a new format, namely under the aegis of the Higher School of Engineering and Technology. Additionally, ITMO implements the IP Exchange project – a student patent association that conducts scientific and consulting activities in the field of patent and legal support for university projects.

Candidates are evaluated by top-tier experts and recognized practitioners in IP management. The project is supported by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) and the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.
