Yandex Cup includes six tracks: Machine Learning, Analytics, Algorithm; as well as Frontend, Backend, and Mobile Development. The participants are tasked with solving cases provided by Yandex experts and closely imitating the real-life work of developers.
This year, the final was held in Istanbul, a city of crafts with a centuries-long history, under the motto “Programming is the new kind of craft” and with tasks referencing the traditions of Turkish craftsmen: mobile development was linked to jewelry, frontend – to calligraphy, and algorithms – to mosaic making.
