The ranking takes into account two main factors: the percentage of graduates who find employment within two years after graduation and their median salary in the second year of employment; the comparison is made among universities/colleges with similar subject areas.
A new ranking methodology was introduced in 2026: now, universities are ranked across 52 fields of study and subject areas. ITMO took the lead in seven Bachelor’s and Specialist’s groups.
Large groups:

ITMO University offers a total of 27 Bachelor’s programs, most of which are implemented jointly with Russia’s major technological companies: Yandex, Sberbank, VK, Avito, YADRO, and others. Students are offered specialized courses by partners, practical training, and internships with potential employment, as well as additional stipends. These programs include AI360: ML NATIVE (Yandex and Sberbank), Software Engineering (Avito), Wireless Technologies (YADRO), and Business Informatics and Data-Driven Management (Kontur).
