ITMO Research Summer Camp in Biotechnology 2022


From June 27 to July 8, ITMO University is hosting an online summer school in biotechnology for Russian and international students wishing to master modern research methods in food systems and approaches to optimization of products’ quality and safety in accordance with international standards. The school is supported by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation, ITMO’s International Research Center “Biotechnologies of the Third Millennium”, and the ITMO.Mentors program, making it possible to share the university’s best practices with participants from all over the world for free.

June 27, Monday — Food Biotechnology for Maintaining Health and Improving the Quality of Human Life.

June 28, Tuesday — Nutritional and Biological Value of Foods.

June 29, Wednesday — Isolation Technologies of Biologically Active Substances (BAS) and Their Use in Development of Functional Foods.

June 30, Thursday — Research Methods of BAS Qualitative and Quantitative Composition.

July 1, Friday — Technologies of BAS Encapsulation.

July 4, Monday — Technologies for Shelf Life Extension.

July 5, Tuesday — Food Additives and Their Functional and Technological Properties.

July 6, Wednesday — Quality and Safety of Functional Foods.

July 7, Thursday — Sensory Analysis of Foods.

July 8, Friday — Course summary.
