  • ITMO Fellowship Stories: 'Science is Our Common Language'

    Tatiana Itina, PhD, of the Laboratoire Hubert Curien at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), recently worked with ITMO’s International Laboratory "Laser Micro-and Nanotechnologies” on a project titled “Mechanisms Involved in Ultrashort Laser Interactions Used for Ultra-precise Nano-structuring of Optical Materials”. Ms. Itina shared with us her insights on building an international career, succeeding as a female researcher, and on what’s next in science.

  • ITMO and Partners Launch Women’s Acceleration Program Girls4Tech

    On June 30 the Girls4Tech project school for female programmers, engineers and entrepreneurs was launched in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The school is organized by ITMO University, Moscow Polytechnic University and the Moscow office of international accelerator NUMA. In the next three months, the school’s participants, aided by mentors, will develop their soft and hard skills as part of a tailor-made educational program that includes lectures on innovation marketing and project management, programming classes, prototyping at FabLab, case solving, business games and various other activities.

  • ITMO-UCLA Partner Program Graduates Showcase Projects

    Participants of the program “Next Generation of Women Leaders in Higher Education”, implemented by UCLA in collaboration with ITMO University, have spent six months working on their projects. Last Friday they presented their results at a meeting in St. Petersburg. Read on to find out how thousands of university employees can be brought together through a social network and how the students’ support system works in the USA.
