  • Prithu Roy: Desire to Be Part of a Unique Experience Brought Me Here

    ITMO student Prithu Roy came from Varanasi, India and is currently enrolled in the Master’s program Nanophotonics and Metamaterials at the Faculty of Physics and Engineering. Before coming to Russia, he finished his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics and Communication) and was also a tutor in advanced mathematics and physics to pre-university students.

  • Students of Three European Universities Visit Russia to Study Closed-Loop Economy on the Example of St. Petersburg Companies

    CREA-RE-RU is a joint project by ITMO University, University of Gävle (Sweden), Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and University of Latvia. For two years now, the project’s participants have been solving real-life business cases provided by production plants and companies by developing effective schemes for utilizing natural resources. The project is divided into four study sessions: each semester, the participants are welcomed by a different partner university. ITMO University became the final venue, hosting the international students on February 17-21.

    Mohammed Alsultan is the head of Get Local – a student club that organizes activities and events for international students. That includes leisure activities and cultural and personal development initiatives. Mohammed came to St. Petersburg from the Gaza Strip and is now in his second year at the Mechatronics and Robotics Master’s program at ITMO.
