• ITMO Staff and Students Launch New Popular Science Project on War History

  Having secured the special Seed Grants funding from the university’s Digital Humanities Research Center, ITMO students and staff members are launching a new popular science project with a focus on history. There, they teach neural networks to “reimagine” the letters sent from the battlegrounds during World War II to attract the public to the challenge of keeping alive the memory of the WWII heroes and victims.

• ITMO University Returns to On-Site Learning Starting on February 8

  The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education has ordered its subordinate institutions of higher education to return to the conventional learning format starting on February 8. The corresponding decree was signed by Minister Valery Falkov. ITMO University will now begin the transition to offline (on-site) learning. • ITMO Launches a New Master’s Program in Applied Genomics

  The program will train researchers and specialists in introducing genomics and bioinformatics into industry and healthcare. Over the course of the program, students will acquire sequencing methods and the methods used in genetic engineering, as well as programming and data analysis for genomes, transcriptomes, proteomes, and their combinations. The program will start at the basics, so there are no strict entry requirements for applicants. The program is offered in English.
