  • ITMO University Holds Course on Science Communication for Scholars and Grantees of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation

    The program aims to familiarize university staff with the recent practices in science communication and help them develop a communication strategy to promote their own projects. A total of 50 people from nearly 40 regions of Russia have recently become the first participants of the course. The program will run until the end of 2021.

  • How to Teach in English: EMI Teacher Training Course for Lecturers of Russian Universities

    ITMO University just completed the results of a 13-week English as a Medium of Instruction Teacher Training professional development course. 15 specialists from different Russian universities took part in the course. For the first 12 weeks, the lecturers studied online: they watched lectures and completed relevant tasks. The last week of the course was devoted to practice and was held at ITMO University.

  • South-East Finland – Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Program: How to Get a Grant

    On December 10-11, ITMO University will host an event dedicated to the 2014-2020 South-East Finland – Russia cross-border cooperation program. As part of the event, the stakeholders representing both countries will be able to communicate with the heads of the projects implemented under the initiative’s umbrella and give their feedback. Apart from that, young scientists and students who in the future would like to submit their projects for a grant or gain the support of Finnish partners, will have the chance to ask their more experienced colleagues for advice and exchange contacts with the organizers and representatives of Russian and international delegations.   • Staking on Unique: ITMO’s Startup Accelerator Revamps its Approach

    This September, ITMO University’s business accelerator Future Technologies has switched to a new working format. Instead of banking on short-term acceleration programs that didn’t fully cater to each individual startup’s distinctive features and needs, FT’s novel plan involves experts and startup teams interacting on a one-on-one basis. There are some changes to the participation rules, too; any project big or small can now apply for the Future Technologies’ resident status and work its way up from developing product prototypes to upscaling the company.
