  • Agreement Signed: ITMO Partners with the Association of Major Software and Equipment Consumers

    The partners are determined to build an efficient system for training IT specialists that can be scaled up to other universities. As stated in the agreement, ITMO students will now on be able to participate in projects developed by members of  the Association of Major Software and Equipment Consumers (AMSEC). In their turn, representatives of member companies will join the university’s team as lecturers, heads of practical training, and industry experts.

  • ITMO Gains Access to Automated Design Systems by Keysight Technologies

    ITMO University’s School of Physics and Engineering joined the PathWave Design program by Keysight Technologies, an international company engaged in the development of automated design systems for high-frequency, microwave, and high-speed digital devices. As part of the partnership, ITMO will gain access to online seminars, workshops, and software.


  • ITMO Technopark Resident’s Software to Help Monitor Condition of Water in Uruguay

    At the end of October, the company Airalab, a resident of ITMO University’s Technopark, presented its Internet of Things (IoT) solutions at one of the largest exhibitions in the field, IoT Solutions World Congress, this year hosted in Barcelona, Spain. Among other things, the event allowed them to sign a contract with a Uruguayan company for the supply of software that enables getting real-time updates on environmental monitoring. ITMO.NEWS met one of the company’s founders, associate professor at ITMO’s Faculty of Control Systems and Robotics Alexander Kapitonov to find out what countries also expressed interest in the company’s developments.


  • Business Software: Seminar at Dassault Systèmes Company

    Earlier this March, the Future Technologies ITMO Accelerator and ITMO.TECH held a meeting with representatives of Dassault Systèmes, a world leader in the field of 3D development, design, and marketing. Several projects conducted by ITMO University researchers and selected by the jury were presented at the meeting. In the future, some of these projects will be involved in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes and will be able to use the company’s products in their work.   • InnoJam "TimeHack": Real Options Theory and Machine Learning

    At the recent InnoJam design-thinking session conducted by ITMO University’s Convergent Innovations Center and SAP University Alliances, students had to come up with solutions for organizing the management process of developers at ITSK (Information Technology Service Company), a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft PJSC. InnoJam was conducted as part of activities of SAP Next-Gen Lab, a laboratory of the SAP company that offers students to work on branch-specific tasks and propose solutions for customer entities. In the course of two weeks, its participants developed prototypes of systems for control and distribution of tasks for the Technology Department of ITSK.
