Description
On March 6 and 13, 2019, ITMO University will host two lectures on nanomaterials. They will be given by Amitava Patra, eminent scientist and professor at the School of Materials Sciences of the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.
On March 6, Prof. Patra will present a lecture on "Fluorescence Dynamics and Energy Transfer of Luminescent Nanomaterials". The event will take place in the Pink Hall of the Birzhevaya Liniya 14 campus, starting from 12:00.
On March 13, Prof. Patra will give a lecture on "Nanomaterials Based Light Harvesting Systems for Potential Applications". The event will take place in room 349 of the Birzhevaya Liniya 14 campus, also starting from 12:00.
Prof. Amitava Patra is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences, India. He also serves in the editorial of the scientific journals J. Phys. Chem, Nanoscale, and ChemPhysChem. The eminent researcher has authored more than 200 scientific papers which have been cites for over 8100 times, and holds two Indian patents. His research interests include decay dynamics, energy transfer, and electron transfer of QD, Au nanoparticles, organic nanoparticles and up-converted nanoparticles for light harvesting.
