I like to have my lunch in the university cafeteria. They serve great food and the ambiance is extremely comfortable. I usually have lunch here with my friends. During lunch, it becomes our unofficial Russian-speaking club where we practice speaking the language. You also get to meet many new people in the cafeteria.

I love cooking, but in the dorm, the kitchen is not appropriate to prepare a gourmet meal. Because so many people share the same kitchen, you cannot focus on your job properly. Therefore, I don’t usually cook my own food now. I prefer ordering my food online. St. Petersburg has an overwhelming number of food delivery apps. My favorite ones are Yandex EatsDelivery Club, and Dostaevsky

For someone like me, traditional Vietnamese food in St. Petersburg is something that I crave. Even after spending more than 3 years in this beautiful city, I still miss my country, Vietnam, where I was born and raised. What I miss most is authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I searched all over Russia, and I found the taste of home at Pho n Roll. Every dish here is reminiscent of the familiarity and characteristics of my homeland. Try pho, which is our most famous dish, and you will understand why Vietnamese people live to eat. The restaurant is opposite Kazan Cathedral. The cozy space and attentive service will help you imagine the beautiful Vietnamese culture.

An exchange student at the Faculty of Biotechnologies

I came to St. Petersburg as an exchange student and started missing Japanese food pretty quickly. While I really enjoyed trying Russian cuisine, I missed my daily platter of sushi and ramen. I was surprised to see so many Japanese restaurants and cafes here in St. Petersburg. Unfortunately, not all of them are authentic in taste or look. Taiyaki Cafe serves the city's best and most authentic Japanese food. I also visited a ramen place here and I have to say the taste is really close to the original ramen of Japan.
