Classical music on Palace Square

Opening the annual celebrations is the traditional Classics on Palace Square concert, which brings musicians and performers from St. Pete’s best theaters to the streets of the city. The full program of the event is kept secret this year, to be revealed on the eve of the concert, but over the years it has featured a plethora of star performances. Come early to secure a spot close to the stage (visitors will be admitted starting from 8:30 pm) or opt to watch the show from one of the many screens nearby. And don’t forget to check the weather forecast!

Palace Bridge concert

Music will keep flowing on Saturday night as Classics on Palace Square is succeeded by Palace Bridge Сoncert: you will get to watch the white night cover the city to the music of Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Bellini. Here, too, you can choose your preferred location – either closer to the stage on Admiralteyskaya Embankment or from one of the screens that will be mounted on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island

Fireworks festival

The final piece of this celebration’s puzzle will be a fireworks show at the Peter and Paul Fortress. According to the organizers, we can expect a stunning display featuring multimedia and AR technologies combined with artisan firework performances. To get the best view, you can choose a spot on the Spit of the Vasilyevsky Island or Palace Embankment.

Ice cream festival

Who doesn’t like ice cream? Treat your inner child to one or more of the 50 kinds of this refreshing dessert that will be offered at the festival. Also on the program are a soap bubble show, performances by circus artists, and fun workshops.

Garage Sail

If all the festivities in the city center are not your cup of tea, you can opt to spend your weekend at the regular Garage Sail at Sevkabel Port. All the usual favorites will be there: the city’s second-hand shops with unique finds for your wardrobe, a selection of street food to support you on your quest, and music from local DJs. With summer fast approaching, the venue itself regains its celebratory and leisurely vibe.
