  • ITMO University’s Work Schedule for June 15 - 28

    The next stage of lifting the coronavirus-imposed restrictions in St. Petersburg started on June 15. It includes opening of libraries and some support businesses. However, most of the restrictions will remain in place until June 28. In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the order of the St. Petersburg Government, from June 15 till June 28 ITMO University will continue working remotely for the most part. ITMO University Rector Vladimir Vasilyev signed a corresponding order on June 14.

  • ITMO University Hosts One of the Biggest Conferences on Control ECC 2020

    ITMO University has hosted the European Control Conference, one of the world’s largest conferences on control theory. This year, due to the pandemic, the conference took place online. However, according to the organizers this had a positive, rather than negative effect on the number of attendees.

  • We Made It in the Spirit of Apple: Former ITMO Student on Revolutionary Translator App

    Arseny Kogan studied applied informatics and mathematics at ITMO’s Information Technologies and Programming Faculty. His rocketing career meant that he had to leave university before graduation. His team is currently working on Graspp, an app tailor-made for reading books in a foreign language. To translate a word in this app, you only need to point at it with your finger. This unusual app is already getting publicity in the Russian media, and was featured by the App Store.
