• A New Russian Approach Simplifies Parameter Determination for Twisted Particles in Accelerators

  A group of researchers from ITMO University and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research have proposed a theoretical method to determine the degree of twist and its direction in electron and ion beams. The new approach offers a more efficient means of studying the parameters of high-energy particles in modern accelerators and can be beneficial for the fields of electron and ion microscopy that use vortex beams. The study is supported by the Russian Science Foundation and is published in Physical Review A.
