«Young people have to study and think about getting more knowledge, not worrying about money. That is why we are ready to support the best students, and we hope that such scholarships will become a good stimulus for others. And surely, we welcome the best developers and programmers to our team!», — underlined Mr. Tinkov.

During a campaign set on searching for Russia's best IT-specialists, Tinkoff Bank conducts meetings with students from different Russian universities. In April, Mr. Tinkov met with students from ITMO, and talked about himself, his business and businesses' social responsibilities. After the meeting, the entrepreneur announced that the Tinkoff Bank is ready to pay a scholarship to a student who's achieved much in the IT sphere both in Russia and internationally. Gennady Korotkevich, a Master's Degree student from ITMO university and two-times champion of ACM ICPC, as well as winner of other different international contests, became the one.

«As of now, not only universities, but also leading IT-companies compete to get the most talented students for themselves, — noted Anatoly Shalyto, head of ITMO's Programming Technology Department. — Our department and the university as a whole is set on keeping the best students at the university so that they'll later pass on their knowledge to the next generation of talents. Our famous graduates also help us, as well as such companies as JetBtains, Yandex, Mail.Ru, Devino Telecom, „Transas“. Thanks to that, three of world's champions in programming — Pavel Mavrin, Maxim Buzdalov and Artem Vasilyev, as well as prize-winners of world championships Georgiy Korneev and Andrei Stankevich work at the Computer Technology Department. All this help lets students and lecturers from the department attain world-level results. We are really glad that the amount of our partners increased».

We'd like to remind you that Gennady Korotkevich won gold medals in the international school championships in programming from 2008 till 2012, and became their absolute winner for three times. As ITMO's student. Gennadiy won the Facebook Hacker Cup two times and Google Code Jam — for three years in a row. Also, he won the Russian Code Cup in 2014 and 2016, and Yandex Algorithm in 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2013 and 2015, as part of ITMO's team Gennady Korotkevich became the champion of ACM ICPC. This year, Gennadiy graduated from his Bachelor's program and became ITMO's Master student.
