The RTDA architectural bureau (formerly BRT RUS) was founded in 2004 as a joint venture by INTECO Group and the German architectural bureau BRT Architekten to develop residential and commercial real estate projects in Moscow and regions of the Russian Federation. RTDA specializes in architectural and urban planning, as well as complex analysis of urban development issues and improvement of public spaces. The bureau’s portfolio includes such major projects as the development of Imereti Lowlands for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, the design of a new residential district in Mumbai (India) and others.

Having won the competition organized by ITMO Highpark JSC from September 4 to October 1, 2018, the Moscow bureau was commissioned to develop a territorial master plan for ITMO Highpark, propose the architectural look and design of inner spaces of ITMO Highpark’s main buildings, map out the transport and pedestrian infrastructure and rest areas, and integrate the project into the overall plan of the neighboring areas. The total cost of the architectural project is estimated at 59 million rubles.

RTDA’s innovative concept was recognized by the A’ Design Award & Competition, one of the world’s leading accolades created for celebration and promotion of the best works across all countries and branches of design, from arts and architecture to fashion, communication and product design. As noted by the organizers, A’ Design is not just an award but a globally recognized symbol of exceptional design excellence. Winning the award is considered to be the highest achievement in design.

“It’s great to know that the company we collaborated with when developing the architectural concept of a new ITMO University campus has yet again confirmed their professionalism with a prestigious award. The RTDA bureau and we share the same outlook, and it was very easy and pleasant working with each other. And, going back to the award, it is not insignificant that the award our colleagues received is of the highest, international level. This means that we’re building a campus that in a sense have received positive recognition by and approval of the international community,” commented Daria Kozlova, ITMO’s First Vice Rector.

Changing each year, A’ Design Award & Competition’s jury panel consists of world-class designers, established academics, prominent members of press and entrepreneurs selected in the course of a strict evaluation process.
