By sending messages through the POYEKHALI BOT (Poekhali or Let’s go are the words Yuri Gagarin said before the launch of his spaceflight) you will be able to experience the first human spaceflight, recreating it minute by minute. The bot is based on the transcript of the pre-launch preparation and flight of Yuri Gagarin.

“April 12 is the day that we all dreamed of becoming astronauts when we were kids! Yuri Gagarin’s flight was an incredible milestone for humanity. But, as we saw, not many people know what happened before the launch and after it, apart from the famous “Let’s go!” phrase. Bots seem to be the most accessible way to make an actually captivating adventure. Now you only need a smartphone to fulfil that childhood dream for at least 15 minutes. It would’ve been impossible without our programmers,” says Alexander Gostev, deputy head of ITMO’s Event Management Office.

On April 12, 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first human to travel to outer space on the Vostok 1 spaceship that launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. This event opened a new era in the history of space exploration.
