ITMO invites you to participate in the International Biotechnology Conference BIOCON 2024. The conference will take place on November 11-13 in Almetyevsk, the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia). The event is organized by ITMO’s Faculty of Biotechnologies, ITMO’s Advanced Engineering School, and the company Tatneft.

BIOCON 2024 focuses on industrial biotechnology, innovation stimulation, and sustainable development. The main agenda of the conference will be the application of biotechnology in industry, agriculture, and aquaculture.

The event’s program will feature scientific, educational, entertainment, and cultural activities. At the core of the conference are TED-style plenary talks, biotech sessions, an open mic for scientists, a panel discussion, public talks for young researchers and entrepreneurs, as well as networking and cultural events.

Among the speakers are award-winning scientists from all over the world: Jianbo Xiao (University of Vigo), Mohammad Jawaid (United Arab Emirates University), Esra Capanoglu Guven (Istanbul Technical University), Rana Muhammad Aadil (University of Agriculture Faisalabad).

Participation is free of charge. Participants can join the event as Attendees, Contributed Speakers, or Participants of BioTech Open Mic. You can also present your own research alongside international scientists by passing a preliminary interview.

Participants who do not need a visa – or will be applying for an e-visa – can sign up for the event until October 25, 2024.

Participants

Students, young scientists, experienced researchers, research associates and professors, and representatives of R&D departments with interdisciplinary and biotechnology projects. No age or country limits.
