Science HackDay

Description

Space, bioinformatics and medical technologies are among the key topics of the upcoming of the upcoming Science HackDay in St. Petersburg. Each field will be presented by Russian and foreign experts who will also mentor teams during the event.

One of the differentiators of the Science HackDay is the lack of strict restrictions. It applies to both the topics of the projects (as long as they combine IT and science) and also the participants themselves. Teams can bring together experts in any field as long as they're useful to the project.

The event will consist of several parts:
1. Kick off event - an orientation a week before the event.

2. Day one. Oct. 16. Registration and short pitches, formation of teams.

3. Day two. Oct. 17. Project work, consultations with experts, presentations by invited speakers.

4. Day three. Oct. 18. Demofest - project presentations open to the public.

Every Science HackDay participant can present their own project or join a team.
