Description

They say you only really start to speak a language once you understand jokes in it, and here's a golden opportunity for you to test that for yourself!

On January 24, 2020, in celebration of ITMO University's 120th anniversary, associate professor at the ChemBio Cluster Mikhail Kurushkin will dive into the murky linguistic waters of concepts and their definitions in a stand-up performance called "How Did We Live Without Soft Skills for 120 Years?"

Everyone now agrees that soft skills are very important (and ITMO University even offers its students a special practical course on this topic), but the exact contents of the term are still a bone of contention. Mikhail Kurushkin will subject the convoluted concept to comic analysis, speaking about the complexities of translating it into Russian. A hard talk about soft skills awaits!

Registration link will be published closer to the date of the event.
