Digital Local History Conference 2020

ITMO University’s DH Center will host a scientific and practical Digital Local History 2020 conference on December 11.

The conference is dedicated to the digital transformation of perception of the city and its history.

Historians, urbanists, culturologists, and other specialists will come together to discuss issues of urban environment and digital transformation processes research. Among the main topics are:

    • Representation of the city and urban objects in the digital field;
    • The city as a place for a dialogue between the past and the present;
    • Transformation of commemorative practices in the virtual environment;
    • Culture of urban daily life and local identity.

    Our main goal is to cover the widest range of problems. That’s why we will pay special attention to the latest interdisciplinary research methods.

    If you’d like to participate in the conference, you can submit your application with a 150-300 word abstract of the paper and a brief autobiography until November 22.
