Description
The VI International Conference on Metamaterials and Nanophotonics (METANANO 2021) organized by ITMO’s Faculty of Physics will be held online on September 13-17.
The first conference took place in 2014 in Cuba, while 2016 marked the first time that the event came to Anapa, Russia, where it brought together over 90 scientists. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, METANANO was held in Vladivostok, Sochi, and St. Petersburg, respectively.
In 2021, the conference will go online due to the ongoing pandemic. It will attract top-tier scientists and researchers from 42 countries around the world. The chair of the program committee is Alexander Poddubny, a research associate at ITMO’s Faculty of Physics.
METANANO 2021 will cover a wide range of topics, including plasmonics and nanophotonics, photonic crystals, nonlinear optics, metasurfaces and their applications, and others.
The speakers are Manfred Bayer, Hatice Altug, Eugene Polzik, Andrea Alu, Jacqueline Bloch, Teri W. Odom, Hong-Gyu Park, Franco Nori, Antoine Browaeys, and Thomas Ebbesen.
