Megascience Installations in Russia and Abroad

ITMO’s Faculty of Physics invites you to join a course on megascience installations by Dmitry Karlovets and Stanislav Baturin.

The course starts on September 16 at 3:20 PM, on Lomonosova St. 9 campus (room 1226). The classes will be held in-person and will run on Fridays for two months.

During the course, you will gain a better understanding of what researchers do at the Large Hadron Collider, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, and the European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility in Hamburg.

The lectures are focused on cyclic and linear accelerators

used for theoretical research in particle physics, atomic and nuclear physics, as well as solving applied problems in chemistry, physics of materials, biology and medicine.
