What inspired you to invent this service?

At school, I had some problems with getting up. Later, when I became one of the founders of our company I realized that my employees worked less efficiently because of lack of sleep. I started looking for the best solution and last year my idea turned into reality. Recently we have introduced our new method, which has already been tested by the volunteers.

 

How could you do that without medical education?

It is true that I am not a physician. However, my colleagues and I read a lot ofsubject-oriented books and now we are going to hire a somnologist – a healthcare professional specializing on sleep disorders. Apart from that, we consult with specialists on holistic medicine in order to introduce a comprehensive approach.

 

How does the “Sleep.Do” work?

To log in one should provide personal information like name, sex, age, occupation, work schedule and so on. It also very important for us to know how much time our clients spend in social networks (users surely know that we keep an eye on them). After analyzing this information we send them a list of advice, which consists of some simple steps. Some people cannot fall asleep for a long time after having gone to bed. In that case we offer a relaxation method. The “Sleep.Do” is a virtual coach. However we don`t give obvious advice like “you have to go to bed before 10 p.m.”

 

How will you put your idea into practice?

We are going to make a web site and mobile app for iOS and other popular platforms including Apple Watch.

 

And what about weekends?

It is a very popular question. It is ok when people spend couple of hours at a party. Sometimes I have nightlong parties. The next day the only thing I need is a couple of extra hours of sleep.  And on Monday I usually get up without alarm clock.

 

Do you have a development strategy for “Sleep.Do”?

The web site “Sleep.Do” today is more of an information page. With time we will turn it into the full-fledged application.

 

How much time do you need for that?

It will not be interesting for users if the app just offers advice. We will introduce elements of competitiveness and game: to motivate people we also will give them some presents like a sleep mask. We are going to launch this project in three to six months.

 

What makes a difference between “Sleep.Do” and similar apps for good sleeping or fitness trackers?

We solve the problem while other devices just treat the symptoms of the problem. As well as a smart watch the “Sleep.Do” will have a sleep phase analyzer. However, the unique feature of our project is an absence of an alarm clock. The users will have to wake up by themselves.

 

How much time should we sleep per day?

About 6 hours are necessary to feel good. However it is not exact because people are different.

 

Your project is unique. Are you going to patent your invention? Are you afraid of plagiarism?

Yes, we are going to patent it. We have spent a lot of time to invent the unique method of informing users and the way of interaction with them.  It is easy to steal the concept but it will not work like many other apps because the lack of interaction.  People forget or even deleteuseless apps shortly after downloading.

 

Are you going to look for investors?

Yes, we are looking for investors in order to turn our idea into a full-frame project as soon as possible. I want to develop the“Sleep.Do” to make people`s lives more comfortable.
