Call for applications for academic exchange 2025

Description

The call for international academic exchange in the fall semester of 2025 is now open!

Academic exchange is an excellent way for students to explore different educational systems, step out of their comfort zone, and gain valuable academic and professional experiences. There are more than 35 universities around the globe to choose from!

You can see the complete list of ITMO’s partner universities for the coming fall semester here. NB! Please log into your Microsoft Office 365 account (see ISU – Web Services – Microsoft Office 365 and @niuitmo.ru) to open the list. Before applying for exchange, don’t forget to discuss your choice of universities with the head of your educational program.

Students who have successfully passed the interview for academic exchange may receive financial aid for their stay abroad. To apply for the opportunity, you will need to provide proof of your language proficiency (B2 or higher). You can use a valid international exam certificate or take the test at ITMO’s Foreign Language Training Center.

Who can participate

  • first-year Master’s students;

  • Bachelor’s/Specialist’s students starting with their second year of studies.

How to apply

To participate in semester exchange, you need to submit your application via ISU using your @niuitmo.ru email address. You won’t be able to apply using a different domain.

You need to provide the following documents:

  • a video CV and resume;

  • proof of your proficiency in the language of instruction (at least B2);

  • passport (valid till August 2026);

  • consent from the head of your educational program (before applying).

The application deadline is February 7, 2:59 pm (GTM+3).
