• ITMO Students Become Two-Time Winners of International AIDAO Contest by Yandex Education and HSE University

  Yandex Education and HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science have announced the results of the international Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Olympiad (AIDAO). The contest brought together 248 teams from 14 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Germany, and Iran. For the second year in a row, the ITMO team AI Capybara took the first place at the competition – their AI vision system for autonomous vehicles proved to be the most accurate.

• Million-Ruble Prize Fund and Tasks From Yandex: All About the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Olympiad

  This year marks the second season of the international Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Olympiad (AIDAO), organized by Yandex and HSE University. Winners will split a 2.65 million-ruble prize fund. Last year, a team of ITMO students, Daria Ledneva and Timur Ionov, was named best. They won 600,000 rubles, boosted their IT skills, and expanded their professional portfolios. Today, we asked them why others should join this season’s AIDAO and what helped them prepare for the contest.

• ITMO Students Develop AI Model to Detect Car Malfunctions

  Daria Ledneva and Timur Ionov, students of ITMO’s Institute of Applied Computer Science, became winners in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Olympiad (AIDAO) organized by Yandex Education and HSE University. Their team, AI Capybara, suggested an AI model that detects car malfunctions – a solution that drew the interest of the ridesharing service Yandex Taxi (Yandex Go).
