  ITMO University has summarized the results of the admissions campaign for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs in 2025. This year, the university saw a record number of contest winners among Bachelor’s applicants – in this regard, ITMO is the top university in St. Petersburg and one of the leading in Russia. Additionally, the number of applications for Bachelor’s and Master’s programs grew by 16% and 20%, respectively. A total of 292 young scientists from Russia and abroad were enrolled in PhD programs.

The university saw a 20% rise over last year in the number of students applying for tuition-free positions, with a total of 13,000 applications received. ITMO’s joint programs with industry leaders were the biggest hit among the applicants – the competition reaching 14 people per position for the one co-created with Yandex.

• ITMO’s Record-Breaking 2023 Admissions Campaign: Even More Applications From Talented Students

  As the 2023 admissions campaign comes to a close, ITMO has announced its first results: the university has received a total of 17,000 applications to its Bachelor’s and Specialist’s programs, which is 4,000 more than in 2022. 1,378 students were admitted to tuition-free positions and a record-breaking 26 were welcomed to the university via the ITMO.STARS talent competition.
