• ITMO Team Receives League of Universities Award for New Lithium Extraction Technology

  Researchers from ITMO University have devised an ion-selective membrane that can be used to extract lithium with over 97% purity from associated water in oil and gas condensate fields. The extracted lithium can serve as a base for producing lithium-ion batteries. The technology was given the League of Universities Award by Gazrpom Neft.

  In a 2024 ranking that evaluates universities by the quality of training they provide for IT professionals, ITMO landed in second place. The ranking is based on the points awarded to each university by employers from more than 300 software companies.

• ITMO Rises in RAEX National Ranking

  The agency RAEX Analytics has published its 11th annual ranking of the best Russian universities. For the fifth time in a row, ITMO University is featured among the top 15 of the ranking, this year being 13th on the list. All in all, the agency evaluated 206 out of 704 universities throughout Russia.

  On November 25-26, the city of Khabarovsk played host to the first strategic session of the national program Priority 2030.
