• ITMO Scientists Develop Code-Free Platform for Genetic Studies

  Master’s students at ITMO have designed GenomeAI – a cloud-based platform for conducting genetic studies that requires no programming skills. The tool is simple to use and allows users to run the entire cycle of genetic analysis within a single interface. To secure data, the platform employs a multi-level security system similar to that used in the banking sector. It is designed for small laboratories, biotech companies, and research centers. The team is ready for a test run and looking for industrial partners.

• ITMO Master’s Students Develop Russia’s First Monitoring and Cyberprotection System for AI

  Created by ITMO Master’s students in collaboration with experts from Raft, HiveTrace is the first Russian system that protects AI from cyberattacks. The new system it mitigates 70% of the most common vulnerabilities and protects generative-AI web apps from prompt injections, confidential data leaks, excessive agency of LLM systems, and other threats. Moreover, HiveTrace is compatible with any open-source or closed AI models – this means it can be implemented by tech, financial, telecom, and other companies and tailored to their security policies.

• MTS to Teach ITMO Students to Develop Recommendation Systems in Python

  MTS, a Russian telecom company, has launched a course on the development of recommendation systems using Python for the joint online Master’s program Machine Learning Engineering delivered by ITMO University and Napoleon IT.
