• Still on Top: ITMO Among Three Best Russian Universities for AI Specialists

  ITMO has once again made it to the top three universities in Russia based on the quality of training AI specialists, according to the latest edition of the annual ranking by AI Alliance. The university has been one of the ranking’s leaders for four years. In total, the study includes 193 universities from 58 Russian regions, ranked from A++ to E+.

• ITMO and AIRI Launch Lab for Self-Learning AI Systems

  At the joint laboratory Multiagent Intelligence and Adaptive Systems, recently launched by ITMO University and AIRI Institute, researchers will be developing smart multiagent AI systems that can independently look for and organize data, make collective decisions, adapt to the changing digital environment, and act as a research team. The lab’s solutions will find their applications in science and business, with AI systems taking on email communications, routine tasks, and the responsibilities of a research consultant.

• ITMO and AIRI Open AI-Powered Lab to Model Complex Molecular Systems

  ITMO University and AIRI Institute have opened a virtual laboratory for molecule digital design where scientists from different cities will develop complex molecular systems using AI. They will train AI to analyze and predict the properties of molecules, generate custom-built molecular systems, and design more advanced algorithms. The findings are expected to accelerate the development of medications, materials, and molecular complexes.

• Chemistry, Robots, and Cybersecurity: Highlights of AI Summer School by AIRI and ITMO’s AES

  80 young scientists from all over the country joined the Summer with AIRI school in AI organized by AIRI and ITMO’s Advanced Engineering School (AES). At the end, the participants presented 25 group projects – winners of this stage will get to continue their research under the supervision of experienced researchers.
