Andrey Bogdanov, a senior research associate at ITMO’s Faculty of Physics and the head of the Nanophotonics and Metamaterials Master’s program, was recognized by the Government of St. Petersburg and the city’s Scientific Center for his contribution to science.
For Commitment to Science: Applications Open for National Academic Prize by Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s prize “For Commitment to Science” recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the promotion of scientific knowledge. The award is open to journalists and media specialists, as well as students, science communicators, museum staff, exhibition curators, and other public figures.
The award is presented by Elsevier, one of the world’s largest publishing houses and the owner of the Scopus database. This year’s ceremony coincides with the Year of Science and Technology in Russia.
Results of the national award Dean of the Year were recently announced at the Professor Forum, which came to a close in Moscow on November 19, 2020.
The competition is held annually by the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia (ASSC) with the support of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as the Ministry of Sports.
On September 18, an annual awards ceremony was held at the Peter and Paul Fortress to honor the best graduates of St. Petersburg’s universities. Two ITMO University Graduates Among Top 50 Famous People in St. Petersburg According to Sobaka.ru Magazine
Sobaka.ru, a magazine about urban life, has announced the results of its annual Top 50 Famous People in St. Petersburg. The list of this year’s laureates includes two ITMO University graduates, Ilya Chekh (nominated in the Science and Life category) and Daniel Galper (nominated in Business). In place since 2006, this is the first time that the award will celebrate its recipients online.
This Sunday, the results of the Form of Kindness award have been announced in St. Petersburg. The citizens of St. Petersburg have chosen 25 people in 25 nominations, who will help the city administration solve various social problems and support those who need help. Among the winners is a representative of ITMO University, head of ITMO’s Student Volunteer Center Andrey Zlenko.
