• Three ITMO Researchers Win Yandex ML Prize

  Recently, the Russian tech giant Yandex announced the results of its annual Yandex ML Prize, an award for researchers who contribute to the development of machine learning and train new talents in the field. This year, 14 researchers were honored with the award, including three from ITMO University. All winners will receive awards ranging from 500,000 to 1 million rubles. • ITMO Wins Digital TOP Award in Education

  ITMO University was honored at the recent Digital TOP awards in the category Education for the launch of its Laboratory for Applied Digital Chemistry. At the lab, school and university students develop IT tools that can contribute to the development of new medical products and microelectronic devices.

• ITMO Highpark Wins Golden Trezzini Award for Architectural Design

  ITMO Highpark, the university’s upcoming world-class research, education, and innovation center, was named the best project of an innovative research and educational cluster by the jury of the international Golden Trezzini Awards. The awards ceremony was held at the Hermitage Theater on November 15.

• ITMO PhD Student Daria Durneva Wins GSEA Russia 2023

  Daria Durneva, a PhD student at ITMO’s Faculty of Technological Management and Innovations, has won in the category Best Student Entrepreneur at GSEA Russia 2023 with her project on a new textile production method. Now, she gets to present her idea at the GSEA Global finals in Istanbul.

• ITMO Art & Science Center Wins “St. Petersburg of the Future” Award From Sobaka.ru Magazine

  The center’s projects took first place in the category Media Case of the Year. The jury took note of the winners’ newsworthy projects and exhibitions, as well as their contribution to the popularization of science art. The awards were presented on February 16 during an official ceremony in the historical Hotel Astoria.
