• Triumph Again: Russian Students Win Four Gold Medals at International Olympiad in Informatics

  At the recently concluded International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), the Russian team secured four gold medals – repeating last year’s success! Competing under the IOI flag, the team was coached by Andrey Stankevich, the Dean of ITMO’s Information Technologies and Programming Faculty, who also trained the teams that secured ITMO’s seven wins at ICPC. This year, IOI brought together over 350 participants from 91 countries, all assembled in Egypt’s Alexandria on September 1-8.

• Russian Teams Win All Awards in BRICS+CTF Tournament

  Recently, ITMO hosted the finals of the international CTF cybersecurity tournament that was held under the aegis of the 5th International Municipal BRICS+ Forum. Participants from over 90 countries took part in the tournament, while the winners split the $10,000 prize fund. This year, the best results were achieved by Russian teams.

The competition took place in Hungary and drew contestants from over 90 countries. The team was coached by Andrey Stankevich, an associate professor at ITMO’s Information Technologies and Programming Faculty, and Alexey Maleev, the head of the IT Education Development Center at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
