• InnoJam: Students Help Develop Smart Solutions for ITMO’s New Campus

  Last week, ITMO University’s Convergent Innovations Center and SAP University Alliances conducted an InnoJam design-thinking session that challenged participants to provide smart, innovative solutions for the organization of flexible educational spaces at ITMO’s new campus. Students from ITMO University, Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications developed app prototypes and concept designs of the future campus’s spaces and interiors.

• New SAP Lab at ITMO Gives Students a Chance to Work on Real Projects

  The main issue with almost any startup is getting clients, that is marketing something that people really need. But what if the developer doesn’t have to worry about what kind of product to create but rather the clients actually say what it is that they need? While this might sound utopian, the new SAP Next-Gen Lab center at ITMO University works exactly this way. At the lab students and teachers will be able to work on the basis of international company requests who are clients of SAP. The first startups have already been selected for residency in the centre at the competition-seminar AdTech SAP InnoJam.

• ITMO and SAP Launch a New Business Accelerator

  ITMO University and the SAP Company signed an agreement on ITMO entering the SAP University Alliance and launching of the SAP Next-Gen Lab — a new generation accelerator that promotes project-oriented education and gives the students an opportunity to partake in real commercial projects.
