• Why and How To Apply for Scientific Workshop Week at ITMO

  Scientific Workshop Week (SWW) is a research school held biannually by ITMO’s Advanced Engineering School. The most recent installment, which wrapped up at ITMO on June 22-29, was devoted to nanotechnology trends and team projects. Participants who successfully defended their projects get to enroll in ITMO’s Master’s programs without entrance exams and continue their research at the university. • 14th SCAMT Workshop Week Wraps Up at ITMO

  The 14th SCAMT Workshop Week at ITMO University came to an end. In the course of a week, Bachelor’s students in natural sciences worked on their research in chemistry, biology, and IT. Those who successfully defended their projects were eligible to enroll in ITMO’s Master’s programs without exams or continue their research at the university.

  90 scientists and development engineers from more than 10 cities in Russia and beyond joined the third season of the school ITMO Wireless. High-Frequency Equipment of Wireless Technologies, where they attended lectures and workshops on wireless technologies for a week.

• ITMO’s 120th Anniversary: Scientists Look Back on the University’s History Through the Prism of Their Fields

  ITMO University is celebrating its 120th birthday anniversary – it was on March 26, 1900, that a Mechanics, Optics and Watchmaking Department, which ITMO traces its history to, was opened in the Prince Nicholas Vocational School. Today, Russia’s first non-classical university is among the country’s higher education leaders and is constantly reaching new heights in international rankings. ITMO spearheads the development of both traditional subjects and new ones, and the contribution of its scientists can hardly be overestimated. It’s impossible to describe the variety of education and research areas present at the university, but ITMO.NEWS contacted several scientists so that they share the past, the present and the future of their fields at ITMO University.
