• From University to Big Tech: ITMO Opens New Coworking Space With T-Bank

  ITMO and T-Education – the academic wing of T-Bank – have unveiled a new 600-square meter coworking space on the university’s main campus. Within it are: a two-story area for work and studies, fully-equipped meeting rooms, and a lecture hall. Students who intern and work at T-Bank will also enjoy a shuttle service directly to the company’s headquarters. More about the new space in this report by ITMO NEWS.

• ITMO Names Russia’s Open-Source Software Leaders

  Researchers from ITMO’s Research Center “Strong AI in Industry” surveyed the trends in development and application of open-source software for machine learning and data processing in Russia. It turned out that Yandex, Sberbank, and T-Bank are the three leaders in Russian open-source solutions. The survey also demonstrated the top five projects in various categories based on the opinions of experts from Russian big tech and universities, as well as open data from GitHub and PyPI.

• 8 ITMO Students Win Scholarships from T-Bank

  Recently, T-Bank (formerly Tinkoff) announced the results of its annual scholarship program for university students. On this year’s list of winners are 200 students from 29 Russian universities, including 8 ITMO students. During the 2024/2025 academic year, winning students will receive mentorship from T-Bank, as well as a monthly stipend of 25,000 rubles.
